ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTIONS | 12/13/21 - 9:30 PM

SWJVFC gathered for our Annual Meeting and Election of Officers. We discussed the status of our Fire Company and how we have grown. We voted in two more members for a total of 10 new members for the year! That is outstanding and we hope to continue our growth. We stand at 44 members strong and will always welcome new members!

Our Membership voted in the following officers for the 2022 year.

JOHNSTOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE | 12/2/21 - 8:00 PM

SWJVFC attended the City of Johnstown annual Christmas parade.

Many of our members marched in uniform or bunker gear while our trucks trailed behind.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING | 11/25/21 - 9:00 AM

VETERANS DAY | 11/11/21 - 8:00 AM

We thank all the men and women who have served or continue to serve our nation to protect our freedoms.


TRUCK OR TREAT | 10/31/21 - 8:00 PM

On Halloween night, October 31st, we held our 2nd annual Truck or Treat event to celebrate Halloween in our community.


Thank to everyone who came out for some family friendly fun and candy, the event was a success!

COLONIAL OVERHEAD DOOR FIRE | 10/31/21 - 7:30 AM

On the morning of October 31st, SWJVFC responded mutual aid with Sammonsville Volunteer Fire Dept to a commercial structure fire at Colonial Overhead Doors in the Town of Johnstown.

Upon arrival, the building was fully involved. Crews worked hard to knock down the fire.

Investigation into the cause of the fire are still on going by the Fulton County Fire Investigation Team, and the New York State Fire Investigation Team.



CNY MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB | 09/25/21 - 9:00 AM

In remembrance of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11/2001, members of SWJVFC attended the CNY Memorial Stair Climb in Utica, NY. This years climb was in memorial of George Cain. Fire Fighter Ladder 7 FDNY.

CHICKEN BARBECUE | 5/10/21 - 8:00 PM

We will be holding our annual chicken barbecue on June 11th, 2021. We will be serving drive through only from 4 P.M. until we are sold out. $12 per dinner, no pre order necessary.

OUR NEW TRUCK | 1/12/21 - 9:30 PM

After 20 years Sir William Johnson made the decision to purchase a new truck to replace our ageing fleet. 3000 gallon tank, 1750 gallon per minute pump, large compartment areas, and a 5 man cab.

This will provide help for our community for several years to come. We thank our membership for the continued support through this process.
